@Tec
How onerous it can be sometimes to do His Will. Judas is the perfect example; afterall somone had to hand Jesus up, it was God's Will and just consider the bad rap he got for doing it.
this is an honest question on my part.
someone on this board asked me 'how do you know' a while ago and i really struggled with it.
in fact, it was a turning point for me.

No you are not incorrect.
I believe god to be my higher self.
It is the only logical way I have been able to reconcile myself with myself.
Our conscience is the way we determine right and wrong, what is right for me may be wrong for you though. I can accepy that.

@Still Thinking "I know the situation fully"
That is precisely what I thought I had conveyed in my post.
Not wanting to get into semantics re definitions, to peceive is to become aware of, especially through the sense of sight or the mind.
I perceive "my God sits at the centre of a garden in my own mind"
As we are afterall all INDIVIDUALS, there is no way my GOD/HIGHER SELF can be any one elses.
GOD/MAYBE GOD/NO GOD; up to each one individually. It's all in our own minds and a personal choice.
GOD is real for me, I know through my own personal experiences every day and that is what you asked for when you started this post.
Peace, Love 'n' Thoughts Wizz.........I'm off to bed as well zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
i've heard people here say jw's believe that jehovah will slaughter non-members of the jw religion when armageddon comes any day now.
does the watchtower teach that jehovah himself will do the killing, or is it delegated to someone else like jesus, satan, angels, or humans killing each other?
who is the actual killer in the picture?
Ummm... Sun Bears, Moon Bears, Panda Bears and Koalas
Considering the first two are treated very inhumanely to obtain their bile, I think they'd possibly be peeved enough to do the killing and the Koalas aren't happy either; they have an STD, chylmidia.
i found this:.
worldly celebrations such as christmas - ks91-e p.95 (it appears celebrating birthdays is not a reason to be disfellowshipped.
ks91-e is the pay attention to yourselves elder's book, right?
Collosians Ch2v6-23 gives Dubs cause for thought as well. Especially v16

Still Thinking
My dic-shun-ary says that to believe is (a) to accept as real or true (b) to have faith or trust in
It also says that if I use "know" as a verb I understand, am acquainted with or recognise.
If I am in the "know", used as a noun; I have secret or inside information.
So therefore speaking personally, my interesting concept is something I most definitely KNOW
Like others on this forum who claim to have received an annointing, so do I; if I haven't then I must be mentally ill. I believe the former to be true.
It came about when I had lost all I had too lose for the second time to the BORG; my wife and children. So I decided to read the bible and the rest as they say is history and that is what made me into a true believer though irreligious. That was 17 years ago and as far as I know they are all still in.
N.Drew
I understand where you are coming from. Zarsinger, Sabastious et.al possibly do as well. I often find their musings similar to my own.
Now that's scary
Sizemik
So you know the difference between right and wrong. Whose definitions; Still Thinking's, N.Drew's, Mine. That is a whole other topic I think.

Pain and suffering are good for the soul and what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger
Acceptance of WHAT IS IS, also helps

I think; therefore I am
So why would I look to an earthly teacher when my God sits at the centre of a garden in my own mind, the font of all knowledge, willing me this way and that, moulding the clay with only one hope; that I may reach a state of equilibrium, thereby allowing my vessel to be removed from the kiln with feet of burnished bronze, rather than imploding into a void of nothingness.
Spirit and clay working together in unison, is the only way we can create an infinite, eternal, perfect state of mind, by which human beings may live forever in a paradise of our own imagining.
I believe all that that we accept to be real, is nothing more than a figment of God's own imagination and that is how it has come to be.
